Virtual Expo | Samples
One of the NEW Features for our February Virtual Expo is samples.
How will this work? Many members have asked us this question, so we wanted to give you more detail and explain why we think samples can work for your business.
Trade shows and in-person meetings are still on hold, so now more than ever samples can play a big role in a buyer’s decision to place an order.
The list of participating artists for the February Virtual Expo is now live. If an artist has a “request sample” tab, they are offering samples. When the buyer clicks on the sample tab, it takes them to the artist’s store. Once on the artist store page, use our built-in inquiry feature to reach out to the artist with your request.
Jackie, the owner of IndieMe, wanted to share her personal experience with offering samples:
“Before I started my career with IndieMe, I was an artist creating and selling my bags. One day I received an email from a buyer asking if I did samples. The buyer made it clear right away that they do not pay for samples and they do not send them back. So, if I was still interested they would love a sample or two of my bags. I decided to take a chance and send a couple of samples. It turned out this buyer loved my bags and ended up ordering a total of 400 bags! I took a leap of faith and it worked.”
