Meet Clayton from Clayton Dickson Company.
I started making my hand sculpted items using left over clay from my mother's studio. I was 14. I grew up in a sea side Summer resort town chock full of galleries, boutiques and quaint shops.
A local boutique owner discovered some of my creations and wanted to sell them in her store. They were well received; re orders followed , I was in business! She still orders from me to this day... more than 30 years later
Our creations are all hand made in our sea side studio in Nova Scotia. Most items are hand sculpted or slab rolled using a low fire white clay. All are hand painted with under glazes and then glazed and fired to cone 05.
