Liane began her career in the LA apparel industry. It wasn't long, though, before she realized her true calling lay elsewhere. In the mid-1990s, she cast aside the glamorous LA fashion scene to pursue a degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in metalsmithing.
The years after college were spent earning a steady paycheck & starting a family. After a seven-year hiatus from her art, she returned to the studio renewed and ready to express her own voice & vision.
What began as an effort to brighten up my home during COVID quarantine in the summer of 2020 became the first versions of my stained glass & wood suncatchers. I realized that working not only in this new medium but with the assortment of vivid colors gave me a burst of new creative energy. I loved the color & whimsy and was inspired to create more.
My designs draw inspiration from nature and are meant to be a reminder of that beauty throughout the year (despite what your weather may be)
